Watch
See it in under a minute
The buyer pays in, and the seller is paid as each agreed milestone is met.
T57 solves the standoff between buyers who will not pay first and sellers who will not ship first, by holding payment with a licensed escrow partner until agreed milestones are met.
The problem
Buyer and seller both carry the risk
In food trade, someone always carries the risk. If the buyer pays upfront, it risks fraud, short shipment or poor quality. If the seller ships first, it risks late payment or no payment at all. Letters of credit solve this for some deals, but they can be costly and slow for smaller trades and domestic wholesale. Without a trusted middle ground, many good deals never happen.
How it works
Agree milestones → Fund escrow → Release
- 01
Agree milestones
Buyer and seller agree when funds are released, for example on passed inspection, shipment or delivery, as part of the contract.
- 02
Fund escrow
The buyer pays into escrow with a licensed partner. The seller can see that the money is there before it ships.
- 03
Release
As each milestone is recorded on the trade record, funds are released, in part or in full. If there is a dispute, release pauses until it is resolved.
What makes it different
Built for trust, not just listings
Use case · Illustrative example
Abu Dhabi hotel group buys produce from a verified UAE farm
An Abu Dhabi hotel group agrees a three-month supply of fresh vegetables with a verified farm in Al Ain. The group pays each month's order into escrow with T57's licensed partner. When deliveries are confirmed against the order, payment is released to the farm. When one delivery arrives short, the group raises it on the trade record, release for that delivery pauses, and the difference is settled before the rest is paid.
