    From five markets to 101

Five founding markets linked both ways, open online worldwide, growing to 101 markets by 2036.

T57 exists to make halal food trade across OIC member countries faster, safer and easier to verify, from certified producer to final buyer.

    The challenge

    The challenge

Muslim consumers spent an estimated $1.5 trillion on food in 2024, and that figure is projected to reach $2.1 trillion by 2029 (DinarStandard, State of the Global Islamic Economy 2025/26). Yet trade between OIC countries still struggles with fragmented halal certification, limited trust between new partners, and producers who cannot reach buyers or finance in other member states. The key challenges T57 addresses include:

    Halal assurance

Buyers need proof that certificates are genuine, current and recognized in their market.

    Limited intra-OIC links

Producers and buyers in member countries often trade through distant intermediaries.

    Access to finance

Small producers and traders lack finance, including Shariah-compliant options.

    Use case · Illustrative example

A Malaysian halal food maker reaches buyers in Saudi Arabia

A Selangor maker of halal frozen foods wants to enter the Saudi market. On T57, its JAKIM halal certificate is recorded on its Passport, and the platform shows the documents Saudi Arabia requires. A verified Riyadh distributor finds it, agrees terms on T57 and pays through a letter of credit from a partner bank.

    Why T57

We believe that trade between OIC nations should be as easy as trade within them.

Born from OIC food security workT57's founding team saw the gaps in access to markets, technology and finance through its work with the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), with which T57 has a 10-year MoU.
Reaching AfricaAfrica spent more than $83 billion importing food in 2023 (UN Economic Commission for Africa). As T57 opens African markets in later phases, importers there can buy from verified halal suppliers, and African producers can sell to buyers in the Gulf and Asia. T57 is in discussions with the African Development Bank on a pilot in Africa.
Trust layer for halal tradeVerified members, recorded certificates and one trade record give buyers confidence in what they buy.
