T57 solves the gaps in traditional cross-border settlement, by letting verified members pay and get paid in stablecoins, digital assets and bullion-backed tokens where the law allows.
The problem
Gaps in cross-border settlement
In some food trade corridors, bank transfers are slow, dollar access is restricted, or correspondent banks have withdrawn from smaller businesses. Stablecoins and tokenized gold are increasingly used to settle cross-border trade, and regulators in several of T57's markets have set licensing rules for digital-asset service providers. But most food SMEs have no safe, compliant way to use them, and no link between a digital payment and the trade it settles. The key challenges T57 addresses include:
Restricted access to hard currency
Some importers cannot obtain dollars through their banks in time to pay suppliers.
Unregulated channels
Informal crypto transfers expose businesses to fraud, sanctions and legal risk.
No link to the trade
Digital payments made outside the platform cannot be matched to contracts or used as evidence.

Use case · Illustrative example
Istanbul nut trader settles with a gold-backed token
An Istanbul hazelnut trader agrees to sell to a verified buyer in a market where both parties prefer real-asset settlement. They agree in the contract to settle in a token backed by allocated physical gold, through T57's regulated partner. The buyer pays, the partner confirms the transfer, and the trader converts part of it to lira at a rate shown upfront. The payment is recorded against the delivery on the trade record.
