The problem
Food trade runs on sensitive information
Food trade runs on sensitive information: prices, buyers, bank details, identity documents and contracts. A single breach can expose a business to fraud or competitors, and many countries now require certain data to stay within their borders. Members and regulated partners need to know exactly how their data is protected and who can see it. The key challenges T57 addresses include:
Sensitive data at risk
Trade, identity and payment details are valuable targets for fraud.
Data residency rules
Many founding markets require local storage or control of certain data.
Unclear access
Members cannot always see who accessed their information, and when.
How T57 protects your data
Verified identity → Least-privilege access → Protected data → Monitored and recorded

- 01
Verified identity
Every member is verified before trading, and every user signs in with strong, multi-factor authentication.
- 02
Least-privilege access
Role-based permissions mean each person and partner sees only what their role and trade require.
- 03
Protected data
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and hosted on Microsoft Azure in multiple regions built for data residency.
- 04
Monitored and recorded
Activity is logged, monitored for unusual behavior and recorded in an audit trail, with key records anchored on a ledger.
Components
9 parts, one platform
Identity verification
KYC and KYB checks through licensed partners. For members, this means every counterparty is real.
Multi-factor authentication
Strong sign-in for every user. For members, this stops stolen passwords being enough.
Role-based access control
Permissions by role, company and trade. For businesses, this keeps staff and partner access tight.
Encryption
Data encrypted in transit and at rest. For members, this protects information if systems are compromised.
Regional hosting and data residency
Multi-region Azure hosting, with data kept in-region where rules require it. For members and regulators, this supports local data laws.
Consent management
Members control how their data is shared and used. For farmers and businesses, this means data used only with permission.
Audit trail
A record of who did what, and when. For members and auditors, this means full accountability.
Threat monitoring and response
Continuous monitoring with defined incident response. For everyone, this means issues are found and handled fast.
Secure development
Security reviews and testing built into how T57 is built. For members, this reduces risk from the start.
Use case · Illustrative example
A Riyadh importer controls who sees its supplier data
A Riyadh food importer adds its finance manager, buyers and an outside customs broker to T57. Each gets a role: buyers see orders and suppliers, the finance manager sees payments, and the customs broker sees only the documents for the shipments assigned to them. The importer's data is hosted in-region, and its admin can review the audit trail at any time.
Why T57
We believe that a trusted trade network must start with trusted data handling.
