Our story
One question, asked in more than 60 countries
T57 began with one question: why does food that exists not reach the people and markets that need it? Through AlMukarramah, T57's founding team designed the strategy and ecosystem of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), the OIC's food security institution. Over four years, the team traveled to more than 60 countries and met ministries, buyers, sellers, processors, cooperatives and farmers. Producers, traders and governments were rarely short of food or of willing partners. They were short of three things:
Access to markets
Producers and small traders cannot reach or prove themselves to buyers beyond their own networks.
Access to technology
Trade still runs on phone calls, messages and paper, with no shared record of a deal.
Access to finance
Working capital rarely reaches the smaller businesses that need it most.

Studied the problem
Over three to four years, we examined more than 150 trade and agri-food platforms and more than 350 case studies worldwide. Each solved part of the problem. None connected the whole trade.

We built on what producers, traders and governments told us in more than 60 countries.

Digital verification, connected trade records and AI, to close all three gaps together.

Transparency: every party sees the same terms, documents and status on one record, and every AI recommendation comes with its reasons. Traceability: every trade can be followed from source to buyer, with each document and step recorded and tamper-evident.

Where is T57 based?
T57 is a Saudi initiative. It started in Madinah Al Munawwarah and is moving its headquarters to Riyadh, with teams in India and Malaysia and country teams in all five founding markets.
What does the name T57 mean?
T stands for trade, built on trust, transparency and traceability. The 5 stands for the five industries T57 connects: agriculture and food production, trade, logistics, finance and technology. The 7 stands for the seven outcomes we work toward: food security, less food lost, integration, access to finance, higher incomes, inclusion and resilience.
